Nyungwe National Park is home to over 13 primate species, with most being the chimpanzees; man’s cousins. Chimpanzees are regarded as one of the wisest primates and are very exciting to watch. Their days and nights are spent in the forest, swinging on tree branches, and feeding on vegetation.
You will spend 1-4 hours looking for the chimpanzees, and an hour watching and taking photos after finding them. After, return to the lodge for lunch and refreshments. The evening is left for leisure, though you can engage in some activities, notably the birding, nature walk, and lots more. Dinner and overnight at sunset.
