Probably you have a short period in Rwanda but you still yearn to explore some of the country’s natural beauties. Well, the 2 days Rwanda wildlife safari is a short trip that expose you to numerous wildlife species like leopards, zebras, rhinos, buffaloes and elephants among others. The trip takes you to Akagera national park for a game drive and a boat cruise on Lake Ihema.

Day 1: Travel to Akagera national park and boat ride on Lake Ihema.
Early morning, be picked by our experienced driver guide from the hotel after breakfast. After a simple briefing about the trip, immediately start the six hour journey to Akagera national park. Drive through the land of a thousand hills on smooth roads rolled in the hills and valleys of the country. Arrival is in the afternoon for lunch. You will then head for a boat cruise on Lake Ihema. This is a huge lake that ranks second in second in Rwanda after Lake Kivu.
While on the cruise, you will cool off the satisfaction from the delicious lunch meal with beautiful sights of the surrounding hills carpeted green with the lush, breathing in super fresh air and spotting several aquatic animals like hippos and crocodiles. Sights of several bird species and mammals along the lake shores are guaranteed. In the evening, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Morning game drive and travel back to Kigali.
After a very early breakfast, go for a morning game drive in Akagera national park. The early drive exposes you to both the early risers as they hunt out for their prey to feast as well as the nocturnals as they run back to their hideouts. Enjoy about three to four hours of viewing wildlife in the park. You will spot lions, leopards, elephants, zebras, rhinos, buffaloes, warthogs, waterbucks, antelopes and topis among others.
From here, have an early lunch and start driving back to Kigali. Enjoy more beautiful scenic views of the hills and mountains of Rwanda. The country’s beautiful landscape, is just so amazing to the eyes. In Kigali, you will reach in the evening and that will be the end of the trip.
