Detailed Itinerary
Day 1. Nairobi to Samburu Game Reserve
The safari driver guide will pick you up from the hotel or airport and transfer you to Samburu Game Drive in the morning hours. Arrive in this protected area when it is time for lunch and you will enjoy as you stretch your eyes with a lot of eager-to-spot animals and other wildlife.
Take an evening game drive which will introduce you to different animals such as cheetahs, giraffes, zebra, hippos, elephants, buffalo, lions, leopards, rhinos and more.
Day 2. Full day in Samburu reserve
Take a full day exploring the beautiful Samburu savannah plains through a game drive with your lunch box. This day will include scenic beauty, rivers and forests plus wildlife viewing differently. While here, expect to enjoy wildlife such as leopards, hippos, elephants, lions, reticulated giraffes, Gravy’s zebras, crocodiles, hippos and others.
In addition, have a great time exploring birds since this reserve hosts over 345 different bird species such as vulturine guineafowl, yellow-necked spurfowl, lilac-breasted roller, secretary bird, superb starling, northern red-billed hornbill, yellow-billed hornbill and more others.
Day 3. Samburu to Sweetwaters game reserve
Leave Samburu after breakfast and head to Sweetwaters Game Reserve after breakfast which is located in the Mt Kenya region. This place is the only sanctuary for the rehabilitation of widely abused chimpanzees in Kenya. It’s also dedicated as a black rhino breeding area and while here, expect to meet animals like Elephants, giraffes, White rhinos, Black rhinos, Buffalo, Zebra, Wildebeest, Hyena and more.
Day 4. Head to Lake Nakuru National Park
Leave Samburu and head to Lake Nakuru National Park known for being home of pink flamingos, rhinos and zebras. While driving to this national park, you will make a stopover at Thompson falls for photography moments and later drive to lake Nakuru National Park. The drive is amazing as you pass through the countryside of Kenya with great amazing scenic views. Arrive and head to the lodge for check-in and relaxation.
Day 5. Full day in Lake Nakuru National Park
Spend a full day in Lake Nakuru National Park taking part in a game drive with your lunch box to enjoy it as picnic. Explore different corners of the park spotting numerous species of wildlife and much more.
Expect to meet animals like spotted hyenas, buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, topis, Maasai giraffes, gazelles, Coke’s hartebeests, impalas, and eland, elephant, rhinos, and others.
Day 6. Transfer back to Nairobi
Leave Lake Nakuru National Park after breakfast and a morning game drive which is followed by a drive back to Nairobi. Be dropped at the airport and this will mark the end of the safari.
