This safari takes you to Masai Mara National Reserve; one of the premier safari destinations in the East and entire continent of Africa. The park is home to a wide range of wildlife include Big 5 animals; notably lions, leopards, Buffalos, Rhinos and African Elephants. As you do the game drive, boat cruise and nature walks, the guide will be explaining different aspects concerning wildlife and nature in this magical destination. Also, to be visited are the pristine whites and beaches of Mombasa and Dian. The trip starts and ends in Nairobi city, Kenya.
Detailed Trip.
Day 1: Arrival and Nairobi city tour
After landing at the Airport where a very exciting driver guide will pick and brief you on what to expect on this 7 days Kenya safari. Depending on your arrival time, there will be a Nairobi city tour arranged. Here you will visit the historical and cultural sites around the city. Nairobi is the main capital city in Kenya, with tight security, developed infrastructure and hospitable natives.
Whether you choose to have a walk or a drive around town, starting a vacation this way is unforgettable. Have a taste of the authentic Kenyan culinary, after which you will return to the lodge for a rest, dinner and a sweet slumber.
Day 2: Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, you will check-out of the lodge for a 6-7 hours’ scenic drive to Masai Mara National Reserve. The route to the park is marked by a wide range of houses, plantations, rolling hills, busy towns and lots more. Be expectant of lots of surprise stopovers as you uncover Kenya together. One of those many places you will have stopover is the great rift valley, for an hour with photos, getting information of the great rift valley formation, and lots more.
Afterwards, you will proceed with the drive, with a sight of plantation fields and the Kenyan cultures. Have a lunch stopover at Narok, and after, have a 1-2 hours’ drive to the park. The last portion of the road is maram, yet with a warm welcome by natives of the place, waving and offering smiles the African way. Get to the park and check-in to the lodge for refreshment, dinner and a peaceful sleep.
Day 3: Full day game drive
Today, you will have a sunrise and sunset game viewing in the open plains of the park. Masai Mara is one of the most visited national parks in the African continent. Not only that, the scenery is unmatched and there are a variety of mammals, birds, primates, and reptiles. As the clock ticks, chances of encountering the animals in the wish list gets clear. Something that will remain in your memory and wildlife stories is what you watch today.
Not knowing what luck presents, the checklist includes among others; the African elephants, cape buffaloes, lions, leopards, zebras, hippos, giraffes, warthogs, wildebeests, ostriches, flamingos, the baboons, variety of antelope species, spotted hyenas, cheetahs and a unique flora species. You will have bush breakfast and picnic lunch. Encountering a hunt, kill or a wild animal producing is that one moment hoped for. End of safari at sunset with dinner and sweet slumber.
Day 4: Fly to Mombasa – city tour
At day breakfast, you will have a sunrise 3-4 hours’ game drive experience, and thereafter checkout for a transfer to the nearby airstrip, from where you will fly to Mombasa; a major trade hub and regional port in the country.
In case of an early arrival at the lodge, you will check-in and follow with a Mombasa city tour where you will visit among others Fort Jesus. End the day at the lodge with dinner and night stay.
Day 5-6: Beach relaxation
Wake up to the calm water breeze, take deep breath, and play at the white sand beach for two days. Mombasa is at the shores of the calm waters of the vast Indian Ocean. Explore the marine life, swim, take the photos, and meditate without any sort of inconvenience.
Night and day are all yours to explore the beach. End the day with dinner and a sweet slumber.
Day 7: Departure. End of safari.
After exploring the Magical beach, this will be the last day and hours of your safari. Begin with a mouthwatering breakfast at the lodge. Thereafter, check-out of the lodge for a flight back to Nairobi or drop off at Moi International airport.
