Uganda is a very safe country to visit.

 Safety of women travelers in Uganda.

 In Uganda, women are treated with utmost respect and are regarded as the mothers of the nation and the world at large with no segregation in age. Solo women travelers should have no fear in booking and undertaking exploration adventures to tourist destinations in Uganda for their safety and respect of not only their bodies but their points of view in society is not taken for granted.  Burglaries and muggings in Uganda currently are actually at a low rate as compared to the past years. This is highly credited on the high deployment of security operatives on the busy and risky streets all over the towns in Uganda.  Street lights and cameras have been installed by the authorities to ensure that the country is safe for all.  Most hospitality facilities are well secured by trained personnel to help curb the burglaries and muggings.  Petty issues of crimes, burglaries and muggings  however still occur in some areas like any other country but it is very uncommon.  The victims are normally caught still, due to the full time cameras surveillance almost everywhere in the towns. Punishments are given to them by the authorities to act as an example to the masses and help prevent such acts which helps keep the masses away from them.

Safety in Uganda ‘s national parks.

 Uganda is celebrated all over Africa for her outstanding safety not only in the cities but also in the remote areas especially the national parks.  Uganda has a total of 10 national parks and a variety of other wildlife reserves that are guarded full time by the army under the monitoring of Uganda Wildlife Authority.  The security operatives help keep peace in the national parks, keep poaching activities under control and also curb any illegal activities therefore making the parks safe for the visitors.

Safety for solo travelers and self drive visitors.

 Uganda accommodates a large number of solo travelers and self drive visitors in her tourist destinations.  The country has a variety of foreign residents and local people have over the centuries learnt how to live with them. Foreign people are treated as their own brothers and sisters are welcomed in every part of the country.  It is under the same discipline that solo travelers and solo drive visitors can undertake the exploration of the country with no disturbance. Mountain gorilla tracking.  Uganda has the largest percentage of mountain gorillas that are remaining in the world today in her Bwindi and Mgahinga  national parks.
