Wild animals that you can see at the CTC Conservation Center in Uganda

The CTC Conservation Center has numerous wild animals you can enjoy seeing, including mammals, birds, and reptiles. These include among others, lions, side-stripped jackals, Kidepo mane-less zebras, striped hyenas, impalas, African golden cats, warthogs, waterbucks, crocodiles, Uganda kobs, oribi, serval cats, caracals, lemurs, bushbabies, snakes, palm civets, leopard tortoises, bat eared foxes, iguanas, black-backed jackals, parrots, Lake Mburo zebras, chameleons and African wild dogs.

What to do at CTC Conservation Center in Uganda

It should be noted that currently, seeing the wild animals in the CTC Conservation Center is done by appointment, and you can do so through Standard Safaris. At the CTC Conservation Center, you will get a very unique tour experience, where you get very close to lion cubs. This is one of the few destinations where you are allowed to feed several wild animals. Some animals like lemurs can even climb on you as a sign of friendliness. You are also allowed to take very many photos here to ensure that your memories at CTC Conservation Center are good.

The price to see the wild animals at CTC Conservation Center in Uganda

Currently, Prices are categorized for either adults (15 years old and above) or children (5 to 15 years old). You will pay as per four different options as provided below.

Option 1: This is a basic tour that costs USD 100 per adult and USD 70 per child. Any child below the age of five will be charged USD 35 and are not allowed to get up close with the animals. Paying for this option offers an opportunity to have a 2.5 to 3 hours experience of interacting with lion cubs aged 3-6 months. Other animals to see include zebras, impalas, chameleons, bat-eared foxes, baby crocodiles, and tortoises. Also, there is no minimum age restriction apart from interacting with the lion cubs, where you should be at least 5 years of age.

Option 2: This is a full tour experience that will cost you USD 130 per adult and USD 95 per child. For children below the age of five, each will be charged USD 35 but are not allowed to get very close to the animals. This option allows you to see lion cubs, lemurs from Madagascar, crocodiles, zebras, impalas, snakes, and tortoises.

Option 3: This will cost you USD 80 per adult and USD 60 per child and offers the opportunity of getting up close with the lion cubs aged 3 to 6 months for an hour. This option excludes other animals and children allowed must be at least 5 years old.

Option 4: This costs USD 45 per person and offers you an opportunity to get up close with only the lemurs from Madagascar. Children below the age of five will be charged USD 35 but are not allowed to get up close with the animals. This is also a 1-hour tour experience that offers you the opportunity to feed these primates.

The best time to go for a tour of CTC Conservation in Uganda

You should go for a tour to CTC Conservation in Uganda on any day of the year, even during public holidays. A tour at the site starts from 10:00 AM to 7 PM. We went on a two-week trip with my family, organised by Coleb from Standard Safaris.

I had my concerns about organised trips, but this one didn’t justify any of those. Everything went very smoothly, even when some problems arose with one of the cars it got fixed by next morning, the accomodations were clean and comfortable, the programs were exciting and well-balanced - everything was done to a truly high standard.

If you plan to visit Uganda and are looking for a guide, I warmly recommend Coleb and his team. In case you have a choice of drivers, go for Godwin, his presence made this trip even more enjoyable - cheerful, helpful, good sense of humour, generally a great person. Just look for the guy with a big smile and big heart:)

We recently embarked on a safari adventure with Standard Safaris in Uganda, which was truly exceptional. Our guide, Yonah, was outstanding - his kindness, knowledge, and discretion significantly enhanced our experience. He was the heart of our trip.

We are all extremely grateful Standard Safaris for an incredible East Africa experience. I recently booked a custom trip for group of 8 people, including an 8-year-old boy, from Kampala through Queen Elizabeth National Park and on to Rwanda and Burundi. Coleb delivered on everything that was discussed and agreed upon beforehand.

The car provided was in great condition and our driver Meddy went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, informed, and had the best possible time. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. All local services were inlcuded in (reasonable) price that we agreed, so there was no need to worry about payments during the 6 day trip. Also Standard Safaris agreed took care about safety and security by helping us organize armed ranger while in the park.

The whole trip was hassle-free and smooth. We saw amazing wildlife in Queen Elizabeth NP, took in the sights of Rwanda and Burundi, and made lifelong memories.

Very organized travel operator who chose awesome guide to make our trip wonderful.

We booked a nine days trip with Standard Safaris and all was perfect from start to finish. Coleb was very prompt at replying and easy to liaise with ahead of the trip. We had done a lot of research and had an itinerary in mind and Coleb helped us to put everything together to make this happen for a very reasonable price.  On the trip we had a private vehicle for the whole tour which was exactly what we wanted. The choice of safari Lodges is good with first class treatment.
Game drive security is assured.
Almost The whole of September I was traversing through DRC, Uganda,and Rwanda on a gorilla tour and wildlife expedition.

The owner, Coleb was always helpful whenever we needed to ask questions about this gorilla safari in Uganda and beyond.

This is so far the best gorilla trekking company in Uganda, and africa, by far. I had a wonderful time with Standard Safaris as a solo traveler.
