Kidepo Valley National Park is a popular tourism destination in Uganda situated in the Northern part of the country in Kaabong district. About 4 kilometers from the Katarum gate, is the Nga Moru wilderness camp that lies on the hill in the vast Kidepo Valley National Park. Its location enables visitors to have the most spectacular and remarkable views of wildlife in the Kidepo Valley National Park including herds of elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, lions, to mention but a few.
Guests at Nga Moru can also have views of the splendid Narus Valley alongside endless savannah plains. The camp derives its name “Nga Moru” from the Karimojong local people of Northern Uganda who settle in the neighboring areas and the word “Nga Moru” means “place of stones and rocks” which also largely contributes to the way it was set up and beautifully crafted in a local setting.
Nga Moru wilderness camp offers two different types of accommodation for its visitors to choose from including cabanas and safari tents. The three safari tents are designed like most of the houses in the Karimojong region and built in an African way that can accommodate about two people each. The cabanas are self-contained and only two of them are available with four single comfy beds in each cabana.
