8 Days Kenya Tanzania Safari

In this 8 days’ safari that combines to remarkable destinations, Kenya and Tanzania, expect a vacation experience that is beyond your expectations, as you visit Masai Mara national park in Kenya with a wide range of wildlife, Serengeti national park famous for wild beast migration, Lake Nakuru famous or flamingos, and one of the seven world natural wonders, Ngorongoro crater area.

You will engage in Game viewing, sightseeing, photography taking the stunning and magnificent natural aspects of the Great Rift Valley, cultural encounters among others. And explore Maasai Mara’s densely inhabited plains in a hot air balloon ride and see Mara’s giant five creatures.

Detailed safari

Day 1 – Pick up and Transfer to Maasai Mara Game Reserve

Upon arriving at the airport, our driver-guide will pick you up for the 4-5hour drive to Masai Mara, starting with a briefing on what will transpire during the safari, after, drive off following tarmac road at first then ending up on a maram road to the park/

The journey has lunch en route then photography at the magnificent views of the Great Rift Valley escarpment wall, from then on, descend the escarpment proceed with the drive having a stop at Narok town for early lunch before completing the two remaining hours to the park, arriving at sunset, refresh and have dinner.

Day 2 – Half day game Drive and Visiting the Maasai people

Start your day with breakfast then head to the park for an early morning game drive where you have chance of sighting numerous game such as the rhinos, lions, buffalos, leopard, elephants and so many more, as well as birds, and different tree species, in case it is the migration season, then expect to sight wild beast crossing the Mara river to Kenya, for green pastures, the crocodiles will be busy secure g their meals as the lions and other predators struggle to also find what to eat.

It is fun and very impressive. Picnic lunch will be served as you rest for the long day hustle, late in the evening, you can decide to visit the Masai People who will take you through some of the most memorable and thrilling performance, interesting stories and places. Late when the sun has gone to sleep, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Depart Masai Mara National park for Lake Nakuru

start your day with breakfast, after, pack your luggage and checkout of the lodge heading to Lake Nakuru, home to flamingoes. The route is very scenic with nice views of Mount Longonot and Lake Naivasha; you can have a stopover at Lake Naivasha before proceeding to Nakuru where you will arrive in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Morning wildlife viewing and Departure to Serengeti national park in Tanzania

Wake up in early in the morning and head to the field for a drive where you will sight the flamingoes and the endangered Black Rhinos for two hours, thereafter, return to the lodge for breakfast, then check out of the lodge for a drive to Nairobi, upon reaching, have lunch, get a shuttle bus that will take you to Arusha Tanzania for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Depart to Serengeti national park and an evening game drive

After breakfast, checkout of the lodge and drive to Serengeti national park where you will engage in a game Drive at the park immediately you arrive, having a chance of spotting high concentration of wild beast, zebras and several mammals enjoying their peace at the park such as elephants, Buffaloes, and different bird species for the entire day.

Serengeti national park is famous for hosting the massive annual migration of the wildebeest and Zebras from Tanzania to Kenya for green pastures and water. When the activity is over in the evening, head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Morning Game drive and Depart Serengeti National park for Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, head for an early morning game drive to catch-up with the early morning risers heading to the field in search for the day’s meal, there is a chance of spotting either a lion rising the morning dose from the sun, sight elephants, buffaloes among others coming out their hideouts.

From there, return to the lodge, refresh, have an early lunch and checkout of the lodge for a long hour drive to Ngorongoro Conservation area having a stopover at Olduvai Gorge Museum, and arrive at your final destination late in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 7 – Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

Upon consuming a very delicious breakfast, pack with you all the essential items you will need during the game drive and head to the field for the 6hour game drive experience as you spot the early morning risers get to the field to find what to eat as the night watchmen return from the long night of hard work.

Ngorongoro conservation area is popular for harboring the remaining few Black Rhinos and thousands of other animals roaming around the crater rim, enjoy the scenic view of the natural wonder before ascending to the gate for a departure to your hotel for relaxation at the swimming pool, followed by dinner and overnight

Day 8: Departure from Arusha.

Start your day with a hefty breakfast, before driving to either Kilimanjaro airport for outbound flight or continue on a regional flight to Zanzibar for a holiday vacation.

We went on a two-week trip with my family, organised by Coleb from Standard Safaris.I had my concerns about organised trips, but this one didn’t justify any of those. Everything went very smoothly, even when some problems arose with one of the cars it got fixed by next morning, the accomodations were clean and comfortable, the programs were exciting and well-balanced - everything was done to a truly high standard.If you plan to visit Uganda and are looking for a guide, I warmly recommend Coleb and his team. In case you have a choice of drivers, go for Godwin, his presence made this trip even more enjoyable - cheerful, helpful, good sense of humour, generally a great person. Just look for the guy with a big smile and big heart:)

We are all extremely grateful Standard Safaris for an incredible East Africa experience. I recently booked a custom trip for group of 8 people, including an 8-year-old boy, from Kampala through Queen Elizabeth National Park and on to Rwanda and Burundi. Very organized travel operator who chose awesome guide to make our trip wonderful.We booked a nine days trip with Standard Safaris and all was perfect from start to finish. Coleb was very prompt at replying and easy to liaise with ahead of the trip. We had done a lot of research and had an itinerary in mind and Coleb helped us to put everything together to make this happen for a very reasonable price.  On the trip we had a private vehicle for the whole tour which was exactly what we wanted. The company has very courteous tour guides with wide knowledge of fauna and frola in the whole of East Africa.The choice of safari Lodges is good with first class treatment.Game drive security is assured.Almost The whole of September I was traversing through DRC, Uganda,and Rwanda on a gorilla tour and wildlife expedition.Everything was arranged and booked perfectly by Standard Safaris.The owner, Coleb was always helpful whenever we needed to ask questions about this gorilla safari in Uganda and beyond.It was a complex expedition but Standard safaris and Coleb made it look amazingly easy.I’ll recommend Standard safaris 200%, for all gorilla safaris in Uganda, Rwanda and wildlife tours in east africa.

This is so far the best gorilla trekking company in Uganda, and africa, by far.
