1 day Kampala city is a fantastic safari that exposes you to Uganda’s prime capital and commercial hub. This city has fascinating scenery since it’s built on 7 hills however it has now overgrown and surpassed the 7 hills. Kampala is known as the city that never closes its open 24/7, and also being near the Equator the weather is hot throughout the year.
This one day expect to visit Gadhafi mosque, Kasubi tombs, Kabaka’s palace, Bahai temple, local markets and museum as well.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Explore Kampala city (Gadhafi Mosque, Kasubi tombs, Kabaka’s Palace, Bahai Temple, local markets and Uganda Museum)
On this day, you will be met by our driver guide who will take you through the itinerary and then set off. You will start by visiting Gadhafi mosque which is the biggest mosque in Uganda and it’s a historical place of faith for the Muslims, you will capture the best view of Kampala city while you are at this mosque, then proceed to Kabaka’s palace take a walk in the palace, visit Kabaka’s lake which is the largest manmade lake, thereafter, you will visit Kasubi tombs, learn its history as well and go for a lunch break.
After that go for a lunch break and embark on visiting Bahai temple which is off Gayazi road on a raised hill, thereafter proceed to the Museum. Uganda Museum is the oldest museum in Uganda and therefore it has a lot for you to discover.
After there, you will proceed to the local market that is Nakasero which is famous for fresh fruits, buy some fruits in case you are interested, you can also taste fresh fruits from the market, thereafter, visit craft shop where you will buy some souvenirs and wind up your day.
