TRAVEL DETAILS
Day 1: Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park and boat cruise on Kazinga channel
The trip starts in Kampala with a pick up from the hotel you spent the previous night and a simple briefing about the whole trip. Start the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Enjoy the comfortable ride with amazing views of Uganda’s countryside.
Have a brief stopover at the Uganda equator in Kayabwe for pictures and the water experiment to see how water flows to different directions in the opposite hemispheres. From here, drive straight to the park to catch up with lunch and an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga channel.
The channel joins Lake George and Lake Edward, homing Africa’s highest concentration of hippos. On the ride, you will also spot crocodiles, sea birds, and many wildlife species that come for drinking water in the afternoon.
Day 2: Morning game drive and travel back to Kampala
Early morning, after a delicious breakfast, set off for a morning game drive. This presents opportunities for spotting the early risers as they look out for their prey and grass to feed, as well as the nocturnals running back to their hideouts. The drive gives you spectacular views of the landscape that is filled with craters and crater lakes.
You will also spot numerous wildlife species like elephants, buffaloes, topis, hyenas, lions, leopards, Uganda kobs, oribis, warthogs, waterbucks, and many others. In the afternoon, have lunch and travel back to Kampala, enjoying more stunning views of the Kigezi highlands, the green lush on the highway, and stop at the equator for souvenirs. That will be the end of the 2 Days Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Safari.
