Overview.

The 3 Days Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Safari in Uganda takes you to Queen Elizabeth national park in the western region of the country. This is Uganda’s most visited national park due to its unique landscape dotted with various crater lakes rolled in the valleys of hills in the park. Queen Elizabeth National Park is also a home to more than 70 mammal species; another attraction to the park. The trip still allows you enjoy an outstanding boat ride on Kazinga channel that joins Lake Edward and Lake George.

Day 1: Travel to Queen Elizabeth national park

In the morning, be picked by our driver from the airport upon arrival, or from the hotel you slept. Be briefed about the whole trip movement and start the journey to Queen Elizabeth national park. The journey takes about 5-6 hours, filled with thrilling stopovers. The first stopover will be at the Uganda equator.

This is an amazing place the latitude, a line that divides the world into two hemispheres. You will take as many pictures as possible as well as experiencing the water experiment that shows that water flows to different directions in the different hemispheres. Lunch will be in Mbarara legendary town and proceed to the park. The journey gives you outstanding views of the Kigezi highlands and the green lush that lies along the equator.

Day 2: Morning game drive and boat cruise on Kazinga channel

After an early breakfast, board the safari vehicle and head for a game drive in the park. The drive gives you views of the amazing landscape and several wildlife species. The landscape in Queen Elizabeth national park is one that is dotted with numerous craters and crater lakes. The drive also exposes you to several wildlife species in just a few minutes of its start. Be sure of spotting elephants, buffaloes, oribis, warthogs, lions, hyenas, Uganda kobs, oribis, topis, waterbucks and many others.

In the afternoon, cool off from the satisfying lunch with a boat cruise on Kazinga channel. This is arguably the world’s longest channel joining Lake George and Lake Edward. The channel has the highest concentration of hippos in Africa. You will spot other animal species like crocodiles, sea birds and other animals like elephants, buffaloes and other grazing along the channel and taking drinking water. At the lodge you will return in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Travel back to Kampala

Today you travel back to Kampala after breakfast. The journey still gives you magnificent views of the Kigezi highlands and other attractions along the way. Still have a stopover at the equator for souvenirs. From here drive straight to Kampala or the airport.
