6 days chimpanzee and gorilla habituation safari in Uganda

primate tours in Uganda

Overview

Uganda is the only country where you can combine chimpanzee habituation and gorilla habituation tours in only 6 days. This tour package allows you to accompany researchers and habituators into the primates’ respective forests to participate in the process of habituating them. This is essentially to make the semi-habituated chimpanzee troop or gorilla group familiar with human presence.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to encounter the primates while still in their wild form. The gorilla habituation experience occurs in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda. The chimpanzee trekking tour will be done in Kibale National Park. Apart from primates, you will also explore Lake Bunyonyi in southwestern Uganda. The 6 days chimpanzee and gorilla habituation safari starts and ends in Kampala.
