White water rafting in Uganda is a trip where a person moves down the river while seated in a raft. Meanwhile, tubing is a trip where a person floats down the river on an inflatable tube. White water rafting on the Nile

Full-day white water rafting in Uganda comes in 5 different categories. Grade 5 full-day extreme rafting. Regardless of its terrifying name, you do not have to be a seasoned rafter to enjoy this adventure. You just have to be at least 14 years old and fully fit. Over the course of 4-5 hours, you will raft 30 kilometers down the river. Enjoy passing through 8 rapids along the way. The second is Grade 5 full-day rafting, which is very similar to the first grade. Also, the minimum age required for anyone to do this grade is 14.

Thirdly, Grade 3 full-day white water rafting, which is offered on the Nile River to both children and adults. The former should fall between the ages of 8 and 13. Rafting is done for around 30 kilometers, taking between 4 and 5 hours on the Nile. Like the previous 2, you will go through 8 major rapids to make your activity much more thrilling. For adventurers on a busy schedule, Grade 5 half-day white water rafting is offered for you. Rafting for only 21 kilometers along the Nile, you are presented with 4 major rapids to go through. This takes 2-3 hours of your time.

Minimum age of participants for the Grade 5 half-day white water rafting is 14. There is a quite similar trip known as Grade 5 half day Extreme white water rafting experience. Also, offered to visitors who are on a tight schedule. They will also enjoy going through 4 big rapids along 21 kilometers of the Nile River. The trip is also 2-3 hours long and offered to persons at least 14 years old. However, all children should be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Note that there is no experience required for white water rafting.

Tubing on the Nile

Tubing in Uganda is categorized into 3 levels. The first one is Grade 5, which is considered extreme white-water tubing. Here, you have to be at least 10 years old. This takes between 4 and 5 hours, taking you on a thrilling ride through 8 major rapids. The second is Grade 1 and 2 white water tubing. This is available for adventurers of at least 8 years of age. This grade offers 2 hours of floating on the Nile River. The beauty of this grade is that you will ride through 3 rapids on the river.

The third category is floating flatwater tubing. During this one, families are welcome to join. This is because children as young as 3 can join in and have the best time of their lives on the river. The duration for floating flatwater tubing is around 2 hours. Safety of the activity is assured since you are accompanied by an experienced river crew. Also, before you start tubing, safety briefs and practice drills are provided. The crew will also ensure that you are equipped with the right life jacket, strong tube, water shoes, sun protection, and others.

White water tubing offers a variety of experiences besides floating on the twinkling River Nile. You can spot so many wildlife species along the banks of the Nile River.
