The spot is also family friendly with a kids’ pool and spacious play area.

Ruzizi Tented Lodge.

For guests and travelers into Eco vibes, Ruzizi Tented Lodge is the right spot to be. Ruzizi is not far from Lake Ihema, a spot solar solar-powered spot and has nine tents that could accommodate a maximum of 20 guests enjoying wilderness views. Each tent has a queen bed, a bathroom with hot water, and a veranda. The wooden deck over the lake is also available for guests with a fire pit. No kids under the age of six are allowed at the spot, so guests should plan accordingly. It is just a 15-minute drive from the south gate to the lodge, super ideal for boat trips or night drives.

Akagera Rhino Lodge.

Akagera Rhino Lodge is a midrange contender and is newer to the scene.  It’s located just outside the park’s southern boundary, offering guests a comfortable stay. The spot has got wooden cabins with private decks and some overlooking the savannah. There are about 12 rooms at Akagera rhino Lodge, a small swimming pool, and a restaurant serving guests local dishes like goat stew alongside small international bites. The spot is also a budget-friendly pick for guests on a budget while offering day trips into Akagera, but one needs a vehicle or guide to roll into the park.

Wilderness Magashi Camp.

Wilderness Magashi Camp is for those luxe chaps, and the spot is situated in the park’s northeast. Wilderness Magashi Camp has eight tented suites that line Lake Rwanyakazinga, where hippos and crocodiles are the word of the day. The tents are not as average, and they’ve got king beds, rainfall showers, and decks that offer high-end panoramic views. The main lodge has a pool, fire pit, and a spacious bar that’s pure Rwandan. Karenge Bush Camp an eco-friendly camp, and is Open from June to September and December to February. The spot is situated in the north and has got six canvas tents for 12 guests at max. Meals are served in the dining tent, and 100% of profits goes to Akagera.

Akagera Safari Camp.

Akagera Safari Camp is situated near the south gate of the park. It has got tented rooms and basic cabins, blending in bush vibes with comfort. The rooms have got en suite bathrooms and spacious verandas. The restaurant at the spot serves fresh tilapia from nearby lakes. It’s quieter than Mantis but still delivers when it comes to location.

Mantis Epic Hotel & Suites.

The spot is not the park like most of its fellows, it’s in Nyagatare, about 45 minutes away. Now this brings out the urban luxury vibe with over 70 rooms, a rooftop swimming pool, and a high end restaurant. It’s very suitable for pre or post safari. The breakfast at the hotel is exceptional and well balanced alongside fast Wi-Fi.
