Best time to go for a safari in Serengeti National Park.

The dry season is that period of the year when Serengeti experiences favorable weather conditions making it the most ideal for safaris. June, July, August and September are the most preferred dry months of the year for game viewing in Serengeti. These months experience low rainfall and the vegetation is not dense making it easier to view myriad of wildlife at the comfort your 4×4 safari vehicle while on a game drive.

June to September also happen to be the most favorable months of the year for witnessing the Great wildebeest migration. And for visitors interested in observing the calving event along the Southern side of Serengeti, January and February are the best months and consider them marked on your travel calendar. Wildebeest calving occurs around Ndutu section of Serengeti and if you are interested in predators, then consider visiting the Central region (Seronera) around June to July.
