In this 3 days’ safari to mountain Elgon national park, located in the eastern part of Uganda, you will explore the different strange attractions of montane forests, the magnificent Sippi falls giant Lobelia, bamboo, caves, radiant flower species, several bird species, if lucky, you will spot the wild cat, hyena, and rock hyrax and many more, the journey is so interesting with the presences of sugar plantations and the source of the Nile among others.

Day one: Pick up and Transfer to Mount Elgon in Mbale, Visit River Nile enroute.
From any destination you will be in, be it the airport, your residence or your hotel, Our driver-guide will pick you up for the journey, starting by briefing on everything you will engage in before setting off for the 5-6hour drive crossing one of the oldest forest natural forests in the country and making a stopover in Jinja at the source of Nile River, you will embark on a leisurely boat trip and take a ride up to the source of exact point where the longest River on earth begins its 3 month long voyage to Mediterranean sea.
Thereafter, have lunch and proceed to Mount Elgon in Mbale feeding your eyes with the fascinating sugar plantations, and rice gardens along the way, Arrive the park late in the evening only to check-in to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day two: Hike Mount Elgon and the neighboring Sipi falls.
Mount Elgon ranks among the most scenic mountains to hike in entire East Africa, it ranks fort in height and the Peak in known as Wagagai, there are a lot of attractions one has chance of encountering while hiking this iconic feature including, different bamboo species, caves, primates such as monkeys, birds, mammals including hyenas, wildcats among others,
So, after a very hefty cup of coffee, drive to the park’s headquarters with your packed lunch, snacks, good hiking shoes, enough water for cooling your thirst, good hiking boots, cameras, binoculars and snacks among others. When you reach the park, the guides will brief you on some of the rules to be observed while hiking, then give you a chance to select one of the trailheads you wish to take all offering real adventure, the trekking trails include Budadiri Forest exploration center in Kapkwai and Kapkwata.
Later on the day, you will follow the trail to magnificent Sipi falls where you will fall in love with this wonder, the deafening thunders from the falls following down the streams, with very clear water, a fantastic opportunity and spot to take photos before calling off the day for dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day three: Departure to Kampala.
Depending on the flight time, you will have an early morning breakfast, and then the driver guide will kick start the 5-6 hours’ drive back to your hotel in Kampala or the Airport hoping that there is no much delays and heavy traffic on the way. As you enjoy the drive, expect to feed your eyes with different amazing attractions as well as visiting Masese fishing village for you to have the taste of Ugandan Fish, Proceed to the airport afterwards.
