The 4 days trip takes you to western Uganda where you will engage in a lifetime experience of tracking mountain Gorillas and numerous primates in their natural habitat at Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park, home to over 440 individual gorilla enjoying their peace, visit the oldest tribe on earth who have moved on with their primitive way of living to this modern error resisting any form cultural degradation.
You will head for a game drive in Lake Mburo national park with chances of spotting a high concentration of Zebras and impalas, buffaloes, topis, Uganda Kobs, giraffes, bird species in both parks and as well as comfortable and classic accommodation
Day 1: Depart for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Our drive guide will pick you up from your hotel for the journey, starting with a briefing session before setting off for a 7-8-hour drive to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park, hosting half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas.
On your way, you will have a stopover at the equator to witness the magical demonstrations at the point where the equator divides the earth into two then continue with the journey having lunch enroute and reaching the park late in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Gorilla tracking at Bwindi Impenetrable national park and Cultural encounter
After having a very tasty breakfast, pick your packed lunch from the lodge, cameras, hiking shoes, drinking water, sunglasses, rain jackets, and a pair of long trousers and drive to the sectors briefing point where you will join your colleagues for briefing and document verification before heading to the thick forest to search for the mobile giant apes roaming all around the forest.
Depending on how far they have moved and your fitness, the tracking exercise can last for up to 6hours with one-hour allowance for you to watch these creatures play and feed their young ones, grumble, and the silverbacks exercise their authority.
As soon as you have finished the trekking exercise, retire for lunch, and then head for an encounter with the Batwa pygmies who will demonstrate to you some of their hunting tactics and stories, ending the end with their dances and entertaining songs, as your head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park for an evening Game Drive
Start your day with breakfast, pack your luggage and drive eastwards to Lake Mburo National Park, home to large concentration of antelopes, Impalas, Zebras and many more including hippos, buffaloes, and birds.
The journey traverses through the impressive Kigezi highlands, have a stopover in Mbarara town for lunch and arrive in the park in the evening for a game drive for approximately 3hours before heading to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Morning Boat cruise and Depart back to Kampala
Start your day with breakfast then head for a morning boat cruise that will expose you to some of the aquatic animals sunbathing on the shores of the lake, these include hippos and crocodiles, and also, you stand a chance of spotting buffaloes cooling their thirst in this place.
Other additional opportunities include sighting the Abyssinian ground hornbills, crested cranes, and saddle bill stork, among others. Afterward, return to the lodge, have lunch and drive to Entebbe international airport for your flight back home.
