5 Days 4 Nights Zanzibar Beach Holiday

The 5 Days Zanzibar beach holiday brings the best of Zanzibar Island experience. On your beach holiday at Zanzibar, expect a myriad of experiences that will leave lasting memories in you including Stone town city tour, exploring the Spice and Botanical plantations, relaxation in the finest beaches, swimming with the dolphins in Kizimkazi and guided walk through Jozani Forest as you search for the unique red colobus monkeys. You will be accompanied by our experienced guide from Zanzibar.

Detailed Itinerary.

Day 1: Pick up at Zanzibar airport, drive to Stone Town & visit the Prison Island

Upon arrival at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport, you will meet your guide for a warm welcome and then transfer to the hotel in Stone Town. Relax at the hotel for a short time and later in the afternoon, you will pay a visit to the Prison Island.

The Prison Island is accessible 5.6km North-east of Stone. It is the most popular home to the giant aldabra tortoise colony in Zanzibar. The Giant Aldabra tortoise is an endangered species and while here, you will engage in feeding these species. In case you have adequate time, you may engage in snorkeling adventure. At around 5:00pm, you will get back to the hotel for relaxation.

Day 2: Dolphin watching tour and visit Jozani Forest

Today, you will engage in dolphin watching, a great opportunity for you to swim with the huge dolphins. This will be enjoyed at Kizimkazi village which is 50km off from Stone town and 20km off from the East coast of Zanzibar. Kizimkazi is a small village with a beautiful beach and is a preferred snorkeling, swimming and diving spot.

Kizimkazi also welcomes the long-snouted, spinner and bottlenose dolphins. Swimming with dolphins is an experience of a lifetime. After your incredible interaction with the dolphins, you will have lunch break.

In the afternoon, you will be visiting Jozani Forest Reserve. This reserve protects the unique red colobus monkeys an endemic species to Zanzibar. Other species that survive in this forest include bush pigs, Skye’s monkeys, adders’ duikers, red bellied coast squirrel, elephant shrew, tree hyraxes, and nocturnal Zanzibar leopards. After the guided forest walk in Jozani Forest, proceed to the hotel for relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 3: Explore Stone Town and Spice farm plantation

After a hearty breakfast, you will embark on a guided walk through the beautiful historical Stone Town. While on your walking tour, expect to explore areas like the House of Wonders, the former slave market for the East African slave trade and others.

Stone town also comes with exceptional architectural style depicting distinct cultures and influences. There are also several gift shops worth visiting for you to purchase some souvenirs and handcrafts; wind through the alleyways. After the 3 guided walk in Stone town, you will settle for lunch and later have an afternoon tour in the Spice farms.

The spice farm tour will go for 2-3 hours and includes exploring different spices and how they are grown. The various spices grown here include the rack-black pepper, cinnamon, lemongrass, garlic, nutmeg, turmeric, vanilla and ginger etc. Do not return without having a taste or purchase some for your home use.

Day 4: Enjoy a full day at the beach

A full day in dedicated for you to experience and have a feel of the Zanzibar Island’s finest beaches. Enjoy the cool breeze from the coastal waters and in the evening, you will have great moment at the luxurious hotel.

Day 5: Depart from Zanzibar

Enjoy a hot cup of tea or coffee and after, you will be departing back home. Today marks the end of the beach holiday in Zanzibar.

We went on a two-week trip with my family, organised by Coleb from Standard Safaris.I had my concerns about organised trips, but this one didn’t justify any of those. Everything went very smoothly, even when some problems arose with one of the cars it got fixed by next morning, the accomodations were clean and comfortable, the programs were exciting and well-balanced - everything was done to a truly high standard.If you plan to visit Uganda and are looking for a guide, I warmly recommend Coleb and his team. In case you have a choice of drivers, go for Godwin, his presence made this trip even more enjoyable - cheerful, helpful, good sense of humour, generally a great person. Just look for the guy with a big smile and big heart:)

We are all extremely grateful Standard Safaris for an incredible East Africa experience. I recently booked a custom trip for group of 8 people, including an 8-year-old boy, from Kampala through Queen Elizabeth National Park and on to Rwanda and Burundi. Very organized travel operator who chose awesome guide to make our trip wonderful.We booked a nine days trip with Standard Safaris and all was perfect from start to finish. Coleb was very prompt at replying and easy to liaise with ahead of the trip. We had done a lot of research and had an itinerary in mind and Coleb helped us to put everything together to make this happen for a very reasonable price.  On the trip we had a private vehicle for the whole tour which was exactly what we wanted. The company has very courteous tour guides with wide knowledge of fauna and frola in the whole of East Africa.The choice of safari Lodges is good with first class treatment.Game drive security is assured.Almost The whole of September I was traversing through DRC, Uganda,and Rwanda on a gorilla tour and wildlife expedition.Everything was arranged and booked perfectly by Standard Safaris.The owner, Coleb was always helpful whenever we needed to ask questions about this gorilla safari in Uganda and beyond.It was a complex expedition but Standard safaris and Coleb made it look amazingly easy.I’ll recommend Standard safaris 200%, for all gorilla safaris in Uganda, Rwanda and wildlife tours in east africa.

This is so far the best gorilla trekking company in Uganda, and africa, by far.
