Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer from Arusha city to the Tarangire National Park.

Arrival of guests at Arusha. The guests will be met by a professional tourist guide who will brief them about the country and this exciting journey. Undertake the transfer to the Tarangire National Park which will take you about one to two hours covering the 109.3 kilometer distance. Enjoy the views of the country while on the journey and on arrival in Tarangire you will continue to the lodge and relax. The catering team at the lodge will serve you a delicious lunch. Continue with the relaxation on the lodge premises and in the evening you will conduct a game drive. The game drive will present you with opportunities to observe the eye-catching animals inhabiting Tarangire National Park especially the big 5 and beautiful bird species. Travel back to the lodge at twilight for dinner and an overnight rest.

Day 2: Transfer to Serengeti via Ngorongoro Area.

Upon waking up at sunrise, the esteemed guests will be served with a scrumptious breakfast as prepared by the professionals at the lodge. Undertake the morning game drive where you will have the opportunity to observe the animals in the park especially the cats that prefer hunting down their prey in these golden hours. Guests will therefore have the opportunity to spot animals especially the lions, leopards, jackals and hyenas. The game drive will continue up to midday when you will travel back to the lodge to get served a delicious lunch. After lunch you will then check out of the lodge and embark on the transfer to Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro, a journey that will take you approximately 6 hours and 21 minutes for the 337 kilometers distance. On arrival in the National Park, you will travel to the lodge for relaxation from the long journey. Dinner will be served at sunset and you will rest overnight.

Day 3: Full day game drives in Serengeti National Park.

At sunrise, you’ll be served a delicious morning meal at the lodging facility after which you will undertake the morning game drive where you will have the opportunity to watch different species of flora and fauna that make up the beautiful Serengeti National Park. Visitors will have the opportunity to set their eyes on captivating landscapes of Savannah grasslands and Woodlands and exciting animals especially elephants, wildebeests and lions. Luxuriate in the views of the animals the entire morning and at around midday transfer back to the lodge to have a delicious lunch. An afternoon game drive will be conducted to equip the travelers with additional views of the animals. You will then travel back to the lodge at sundown to relax, have dinner and rest overnight.

Day 4: Additional full day game drives in Serengeti National Park.

Early morning delicious meals will be presented to the guests at the lodging facility just before they embark on the exciting morning game drives in the National Park. Relish the morning meals and after undertake the exploration of the captivating savanna grasslands where you will have the opportunity to observe more of the animals and other spectacular endowments within. Transfer back to the lodge at midday for lunch. An afternoon game drive will further be conducted to ensure that visitors have more chances to view more animals in the park. Travelers will then head back to the lodge at sunset to get served a delicious dinner and rest for the night.

Day 5: Transfer to Ndutu. Explore.

The travelers will rise at dawn to the beautiful views of the savanna grasslands and animals within the park. The catering team at the lodge will then serve the guests are delicious breakfast. Enjoy the breakfast and then after check out undertake the 3 hours and 13 minutes journey to Ndutu. Ndutu is a renowned tourist destination that boasts of its natural endowments especially the lake and the beautiful wildlife species it harbors. Visitors will therefore enjoy the views of the various animals and also participate in exciting wildlife photography. Travel to the lodge at around midday to have a delicious lunch. An afternoon game drive will be conducted in Ndutu to allow visitors to view more of the animals. Transfer back to the lodge at sunset for evening meals and nighttime stay.

Day 6: Game viewing in Ndutu.

Breakfast will be served to the guests at the lodging facility at sunrise as soon as they wake up. After breakfast, you will then undertake a morning game drive that will present sensational game viewing experiences to the guests and also relax at the designated game viewing spots with state-of-the-art binoculars to allow the visitors to view animals that are both near and far. It is on this game drive that visitors will have the opportunity to observe thousands of Cape buffaloes and wildebeests which is such a humbling experience. The guests will then transfer to the lodge at around midday to relax and have lunch. An afternoon game drive will be conducted and the guests will therefore have more chances to observe animals and enjoy the natural environment as they appreciate the natural endowments of the area. The game drive will end at twilight when you will travel back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight rest.

Day 7: Transfer to Ngorongoro, gamedrive.

Early meals will be served to the guests when they wake up at the lodging facility after which you will check out of the lodge to undertake the transfer to Ngorongoro. The journey to Ngorongoro will take you approximately 2 hours and 37 minutes covering the 106.1 kilometer distance and on arrival, you will explore the crater lakes. Enjoy the photography moments, bird watching and sightseeing since the crater lakes present beautiful views. At around midday, you will then embark on the journey to the lodge where you will be served a delicious lunch. Luxuriate in the premises of the lodge as you enjoy the delicious lunch after which you will undertake an afternoon game drive in the Conservancy. In the Conservancy you will have the opportunity to observe exciting animals, especially cheetahs, leopards, buffaloes, warthogs, zebras and wildebeests. The game drive will keep you occupied the entire afternoon and at sunset, you will travel back to the lodge for dinner and overnight rest.

Day 8: Explore Ngorongoro.

The guests will wake up at sunrise and get served a delicious breakfast prepared by the lodging facility’s catering team. Relish the breakfast as you enjoy the golden hour. After breakfast, you will then undertake the hot air ballooning activity that will present to you the beautiful views of the crater lakes as you float above the savanna grasslands and Woodlands enjoying the beautiful views and clear observation of the animals in areas where one cannot reach while on a game drive. This activity will keep you busy the entire morning and will end at around midday. Transfer back to the lodge for lunch in the afternoon. After lunch, you will undertake the afternoon game drive for further opportunities to observe the animals living in the Conservancy. Travel back to the lodge at sunset where a delicious dinner will be served at the lodge and you will have a sundowner. Enjoy the party in the wild and later have rest overnight.

Day 9: Departure. (Ngorongoro – Arusha Airport)

Very early in the morning, the guests will wake up to a well prepared breakfast by the professional catering team at the lodge. Savor the breakfast as you luxuriate in the beautiful golden hour while viewing the captivating Outback. After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge to undertake the drive to Arusha airport which will take you approximately 2 hours and 41 minutes for the 154.6 kilometer distance. At Arusha, you will get on board for the flights back home which will be the end of the exciting safari.

We went on a two-week trip with my family, organised by Coleb from Standard Safaris.I had my concerns about organised trips, but this one didn’t justify any of those. Everything went very smoothly, even when some problems arose with one of the cars it got fixed by next morning, the accomodations were clean and comfortable, the programs were exciting and well-balanced - everything was done to a truly high standard.If you plan to visit Uganda and are looking for a guide, I warmly recommend Coleb and his team. In case you have a choice of drivers, go for Godwin, his presence made this trip even more enjoyable - cheerful, helpful, good sense of humour, generally a great person. Just look for the guy with a big smile and big heart:)

We are all extremely grateful Standard Safaris for an incredible East Africa experience. I recently booked a custom trip for group of 8 people, including an 8-year-old boy, from Kampala through Queen Elizabeth National Park and on to Rwanda and Burundi. Very organized travel operator who chose awesome guide to make our trip wonderful.We booked a nine days trip with Standard Safaris and all was perfect from start to finish. Coleb was very prompt at replying and easy to liaise with ahead of the trip. We had done a lot of research and had an itinerary in mind and Coleb helped us to put everything together to make this happen for a very reasonable price.  On the trip we had a private vehicle for the whole tour which was exactly what we wanted. The company has very courteous tour guides with wide knowledge of fauna and frola in the whole of East Africa.The choice of safari Lodges is good with first class treatment.Game drive security is assured.Almost The whole of September I was traversing through DRC, Uganda,and Rwanda on a gorilla tour and wildlife expedition.Everything was arranged and booked perfectly by Standard Safaris.The owner, Coleb was always helpful whenever we needed to ask questions about this gorilla safari in Uganda and beyond.It was a complex expedition but Standard safaris and Coleb made it look amazingly easy.I’ll recommend Standard safaris 200%, for all gorilla safaris in Uganda, Rwanda and wildlife tours in east africa.

This is so far the best gorilla trekking company in Uganda, and africa, by far. I had a wonderful time with Standard Safaris as a solo traveler.My guide was excellent and our safari planner, Coleb was quick with responses and the prices were very friendly.I’ll definitely book with Standard safaris on my next gorilla tour in Rwanda and Uganda.
