Two days Lake Mburo national park are perfectly enough to explore Uganda’s smallest gem. Lake Mburo national park is located in western Uganda along Masaka Mbarara highway, the road that leads to the western parks of Uganda. It’s a small savanna park homing more than 50 mammals species. The two days trip allows you have a game drive to spot of the world’s most beautiful wildlife species and then have a boat cruise on Lake Mburo.

Early morning after your breakfast, the driver guide picks you from the hotel you spent the previous night or from the agreed meeting point. Immediately start the journey to Lake Mburo national park as he briefs you about the whole trip. Enjoy a comfortable four hour drive from Kampala to the park with several amusing stopovers. The first stopover will be at the Uganda equator. This is one of the best picturesque places in Uganda that real proves that you were in the country. At the equator you will take as many pictures as you want and also have the water experiment to show you how water flows to different directions in the opposite hemispheres.
On arrival at the park, have lunch and head for a boat cruise on Lake Mburo. You will have sights of huge hippos, crocodiles, numerous bird species and other animlas like warthogs, zebras and giraffes among others that come for drinking water in the afternoon. Returning to the lodge is in the evening for dinner and overnight.
DAY 2: Morning game drive and travel back to Kampala
Wake up to a delicious breakfast and set for the game drive in Lake Mburo national park. It’s about a 3-4 hour drive that exposes you to hundreds of animals that call this tiny gem a home. Be guaranteed to see the elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, waterbucks, zebras, giraffes, Uganda kobs, duikers, and many others.
From the drive, have lunch at the lodge at start the journey back to Kampala or straight to Entebbe international airport to catch up with your flight back home.
